 Mac Elite Force Review
Posted by Demolisher on Sunday, January 28, 2001

Gamesmania has posted their good review of the Macintosh version of Elite Force. Here is a preview:
Perhaps the most striking aspect of Elite Force is the well-thought out and tightly integrated storyline that Raven and Paramount Studios have concocted. I played through the full game not once, but three times solely based on the storyline. That's a rare occurrence for a reviewer, who usually plays just enough of the game to gain a general understanding, and then moves on to his or her next assignment.

 Elite Force Vs The Fallen
Posted by Demolisher on Wednesday, January 17, 2001

Deadalfs 2000 has posted a great article comparing Elite Force to Deep Space Nine: The Fallen, giving reviews of both games. Here is a preview:
In recent years it has been discovered that an immersive single player game needs to be based inside a truly believable and interactive game world. As games like Half-Life and Deus Ex have shown us, there is no better way of achieving this that with the implementation of non-player characters. Gone are the days of a lone warrior taking out wave after wave of mutant alien scum with only a comlink for company (if you're lucky). This style of game is well taken care of by multiplayer games where the challenge has evolved into fighting human adversaries. For the single player game to truly survive in the 21st century, it must be the story that shines. I'm pleased to say Elite Force does not disappoint.

 It's Taunting Me!
Posted by wmull on Tuesday, January 16, 2001

The ever-amazing Laz has uploaded a file which gives unique audio taunts to the bots who have generic laughing taunts in holomatch. Here's a list of the taunts:
Janeway: "Dismissed!"
Paris: "Tom Paris at your service!"
Torres: "Okay, let's get a clean-up crew in here!"
Doctor: "Your injuries seem to be rather superficial."
Neelix: "Anything I can get you?"
Kim: "Guess that means our woodwind choir concert is off."
Telsia: "I TOLD you that was the oldest one in the book!"
Jurot: "Perhaps we can commiserate at a later time?"
Chell: "Does the Hazard Team get hazard pay?"
Chang: "I wouldn't be much of a demolitionist if I couldn't blow YOU up."
Oviedo: "Make sure you try out the new sniper mode on the phaser rifle."
Borg: "Resistance is futile."
How do you find how to get your mitts on these taunts? Head to Elite Farce!
