Go around on the catwalk, killing the borg along the way. The next room will have some borg, but there is a health terminal and two ammo terminals. After killing the borg, go down the elevator in the corner. There are more borg on the level below, so be prepared while you're going down the elevator. After killing the borg in this room, you can go back up and recharge your ammo and health if you want. Go down another elevator on the right side of the room.

Kill some more borg and then you'll see a green forcefield, but where is the distribution node? Look up and you'll see it. To get to it, go up the elevator, but halfway up in the short elevator shaft there is a plasma filter. Shoot the plasma filter to break the grate next to it. Go up the elevator and crawl through that grate. Destroy the distribution node. Also, there is a health terminal and ammo terminal at the end of this tunnel if you need.

Go back down and continue onward. A cinematic will play. You are at the viniculum, where all borg thoughts are processed. The borg will take over Seven (or Foster as a borg will come out if you didn't manage to save him), and they will make a deal with you. It seems that when they destroyed the forge probe that got them to the forge, they were fighting Species 8472, which means that there are some Species 8472's on the ship. They have taken then isodeseum, so the borg want you to kill the species 8472's on the ship. The team has no choice, either kill the species 8472 or be assimilated. Jurot is very skeptical about the borg. Also, Chang puts a detpack on the floor in case you need it later. Seven is then released from the borg. When the cinematic ends, exit the level on the left.
